Post Impressionism Art

Post-impressionism - Post-impressionism is a term applied to painting styles of the late 19th and early 20th centuries — after impressionism.

Post-painterly Abstraction - Post-painterly Abstraction is a term created by art critic, Clement Greenberg in the 1960s to distinguish his idea of pure art from the Abstract Expressionism movement of about the same time. Greenberg believed that art was progressing to a certain point and that the many movements of art throughout history were simply leading up to this.

Neo-impressionism - Neo-impressionism was a late-19th century art movement led by Georges Seurat and Paul Signac, who exhibited their early work in 1884 at the exhibition of the Société des Artistes Indépendants in Paris. French art critic Felix Feneon coined the term in 1887.

Post-romanticism - Postromanticism is the art of passion and refers to the postmodern re-enactment of romantic themes and motifs in contemporary art. As an emerging trend, the cultural movement has been officially founded by artist Leonardo Pereznieto and writer Claudia Moscovici.
