Quattrocento - Quattrocento is the shortened form of "mille quattrocento" (meaning the 1400's, or the fifteenth century), a term used in art history to describe early Italian Renaissance. It is the epoch bridging the early emergence of a new style of the Arts in Italy, that sought to reclaim greater affinity to classic forms, as represented by Roman and Greek models.

Northern Renaissance - The Renaissance was originally centred in Italy, but in time spread throughout all of Europe. In France King Francis I imported Italian art and artists, including Leonardo da Vinci.

Harlem Renaissance - The Harlem Renaissance was a flowering of African-American social thought and culture based in the African-American community forming in Harlem in New York City (USA).
